The extensive renovation of the hotel
encompassed the renovation of 438 guest rooms and suites, the
restaurant, bar, lobby, entryway, meeting and event spaces. We worked
with the idea of history of New Orleans, and the rich culture of French
and African roots. We referenced early French modernism, including
Giacometti, Eileen Grey, Jean Michel Frank, and Ruhlmann. We designed
carpets with rich, natural organic patterns.
